Tips & Tricks (5)
- Honey Caramelization Hack 🍯For deeper flavor, briefly caramelize the honey by pre-mixing it with a touch of sesame oil before adding to the Instant Pot.
- Thigh vs. Breast Magic 🍗Choose chicken thighs over breasts for this recipe - they're more forgiving in the Instant Pot and retain moisture better due to higher fat content.
- Sauce Concentration Technique 🥄After cooking, use the Instant Pot's sauté function to reduce and thicken the sauce, concentrating the Asian-inspired flavors.
- Aromatics Layering Trick 🧄Mince garlic and green onions finely and layer them strategically - add half at the beginning of cooking and reserve half for garnishing to maximize flavor complexity.
- Quick Marinade Shortcut 🌶️If time allows, quickly marinate chicken thighs in the sauce mixture for 30 minutes before cooking to enhance flavor penetration.
