Tips & Tricks (5)

  • Chill Dough for Perfection 🧊
Refrigerate the cream cheese dough for at least 1 hour before rolling to ensure a flaky, easy-to-handle texture that prevents sticking and maintains the cookie's delicate structure.
  • Jam Filling Hack 🍯
Use a small measuring spoon or piping bag to add precisely the right amount of jam, preventing overflow and ensuring a neat, professional-looking kolaczki with a perfect jam-to-cookie ratio.
  • Powdered Sugar Magic ✨
Dust cookies with powdered sugar just before serving to prevent moisture absorption and maintain a crisp, beautiful finish that adds both visual appeal and a delicate sweetness.
  • Butter Softening Technique 🧈
Allow butter and cream cheese to soften at room temperature for exactly 30-45 minutes before mixing to achieve the perfect creamy consistency without becoming too warm.
  • Storage Pro Tip 📦
Store kolaczki in an airtight container with parchment paper between layers, and keep at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week to maintain their delicate texture.
