Lobster Mac & Cheese
Instructions
1
|
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
2
|
In a skillet over medium heat, melt 4 tbsp butter. Add lobster meat and toss until well coated and heated through. Remove from pan and set aside.
3
|
Add remaining 2 tbsp butter and minced garlic to the same pan. Cook until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
4
|
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Season with salt and pepper.
5
|
Add cooked pasta to the cream, followed by cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is creamy.
6

Add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed. Cook for a few minutes to thicken.
7
|
Fold in the cooked lobster, stir, and top with additional Parmesan. Serve warm.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Lobster Poaching Perfection 🦞Gently poach the lobster meat in butter at a low temperature to ensure it remains tender and doesn't become rubbery or overcooked.
- Cheese Sauce Smoothness 🧀Create a roux with butter and flour before adding heavy cream and cheeses to prevent grainy texture and ensure a silky-smooth cheese sauce.
- Pasta Water Magic 💧Reserve 1 cup of starchy pasta water before draining to help bind the sauce and adjust consistency if needed, creating a more luxurious mac and cheese.
- Layered Cheese Melting 🔪Grate cheeses separately and layer them incrementally while stirring to achieve maximum melting and prevent clumping.
- Crispy Parmesan Topping 🔥Sprinkle extra Parmesan on top and broil for 2-3 minutes to create a golden, crispy crust that adds textural contrast to the creamy mac and cheese.
