Instructions
1
|
Place the Oreos into a food processor, and blend until they become fine crumbs.
2
|
Add the crumbs to a mixing bowl, and pour in the milk and baking powder.
3
|
Stir until well combined and smooth.
4
|
Spread the mixture into well greased, microwave-safe ramekins, mini loaf pans or any other containers you may wish to use. Fill about ½ – ⅔ of the way full.
5
|
Microwave for 2-3 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean. The cooking time will vary depending on the size of your containers.
6
|
Let the cakes cool slightly, then run a knife along the edges to help loosen the cake from the container.
7
|
Turn the cake out onto a tray to cool completely.
8
|
Spread the icing on your cakes and serve.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Cookie Crushing Technique 🍪For the most even texture, crush Oreo cookies in a sealed plastic bag using a rolling pin, creating uniform crumbs that distribute perfectly throughout the cake.
- Moisture Magic 💧Add an extra tablespoon of milk to prevent dryness, ensuring a super moist microwave cake that doesn't turn rubbery or tough.
- Microwave Timing Precision ⏱️Microwave in 30-second intervals, checking between each to prevent overcooking - different microwaves have varying power levels, so watch carefully.
- Oreo Layer Maximization 🏆Reserve a few crushed Oreo cookies to sprinkle on top after cooking for added texture and a more visually appealing presentation.
- Mug Selection Secret 🥤Choose a microwave-safe mug that's at least 12 ounces to prevent overflow and allow proper rising during cooking.
