Instructions
1
Place the Oreos into a food processor, and blend until they become fine crumbs.
2
Add the crumbs to a mixing bowl, and pour in the milk and baking powder.
3
Stir until well combined and smooth.
4
Spread the mixture into well greased, microwave-safe ramekins, mini loaf pans or any other containers you may wish to use. Fill about ½ – ⅔ of the way full.
5
Microwave for 2-3 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean. The cooking time will vary depending on the size of your containers.
6
Let the cakes cool slightly, then run a knife along the edges to help loosen the cake from the container.
7
Turn the cake out onto a tray to cool completely.
8
Spread the icing on your cakes and serve.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Crush Oreos Strategically 🍪Leave some Oreo chunks larger rather than pulverizing all of them—this creates pockets of rich, fudgy texture throughout the cake instead of uniform sweetness.
- Don't Overmix the Batter ✨Stir just until ingredients combine—overmixing develops gluten and makes the microwave cake tough and dense instead of soft and fluffy.
- Use the Right Microwave Vessel 🥣Choose a microwave-safe mug or ramekin that's slightly larger than your batter volume to allow room for rising and prevent overflow onto the microwave floor.
- Master Microwave Timing for Moisture 🕐Stop microwaving when a toothpick shows moist crumbs (not wet batter)—residual heat continues cooking as it cools, preventing a dry, rubbery texture.
- Warm the Vanilla Icing First 💧Microwave your icing for 10-15 seconds before drizzling so it flows smoothly and adheres to the warm cake, creating a glossy, professional finish.
