Cooked this at a dinner party and it was a huge hit! Bowtie pasta was a great choice for this recipe.

My Notes
Your kitchen notebook is waiting.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pound Your Chicken Evenly 🔨Gently pound chicken breasts to ½-inch thickness to ensure uniform cooking and prevent dry edges while the center finishes cooking.
- Reserve Pasta Water Before Draining 💧Save 1 cup of starchy pasta water before draining—it's your secret weapon to adjust sauce consistency and help it cling perfectly to the bowtie pasta.
- Bloom Your Pesto in Warm Cream 🌿Whisk pesto into warm (not boiling) cream off-heat to preserve its delicate basil flavors and prevent the sauce from becoming bitter or broken.
- Don't Skip the Searing Step 🍳Achieve golden-brown crust on chicken over medium-high heat for 6-7 minutes per side—this develops deep flavor through the Maillard reaction before finishing in the cream sauce.
- Emulsify Your Sauce with Butter 🧈Finish by whisking in cold butter cubes one at a time while tilting the pan to create a silky, luxurious sauce that clings beautifully to the pasta.
