Instructions
1
First, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
2
Unroll both sheets of puff pastry. Place one down on parchment paper. Combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.
3
Brush half of the melted butter on one side of the puff pastry dough.
4
Then, sprinkle on the cinnamon and sugar.
5
Gently place the second sheet of puff pastry on top.
6
Use a pizza roller cuter to slice into long 1 inch wide strips.
7
Then, use your hands to roll up the dough accordion style. See photos above for reference.
8
Put a wooden skewer through each tree. Then place on baking sheet.
9
Brush the remaining melted butter on each Christmas tree.
10
Place the pan in the freezer for 10 minutes.
11
Remove pan from freezer. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until puffy and just barely golden brown.
12
Finally, remove from oven. Lightly dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Keep Puff Pastry Ice Cold ❄️Work with chilled puff pastry straight from the freezer and refrigerate between cuts to maximize lift and achieve those signature flaky, separated layers during baking.
- Master the Skewer Spiral Technique 🎄Cut puff pastry into thin strips and wrap them tightly around the skewer in overlapping spirals, starting at the bottom and working upward for a professional-looking tree shape with even cooking.
- Brush with Egg Wash for Golden Color ✨Apply a light egg wash before baking and dust with cinnamon-sugar mixture immediately after brushing to ensure even browning and help the toppings adhere beautifully.
- Adjust Oven Rack Position 📍Place your baking sheet on the middle rack to ensure the bottoms cook through without burning while the tops achieve that desired golden-brown finish.
- Cool Before Powdered Sugar Coating 🍰Allow trees to cool completely on a wire rack before dusting with powdered sugar; this prevents melting and creates a crisp, snowy appearance that mimics frosted evergreens.
