Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to 350℉ and prepare regular-sized muffin tins with either non-stick spray or muffin liners.
2
Cream together the softened butter and white sugar for 1 minute. Add the eggs and pumpkin puree and continue mixing until incorporated.
3
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices. Add to the wet ingredients and mix on low speed just until incorporated.
4
Scoop the muffin batter into the prepared tins. Stir together the melted butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and chopped pecans to make a streusel. Sprinkle on top of the batter and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in muffin tins for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Don't Overmix the Batter 🥄Mix wet and dry ingredients until just combined to avoid overdeveloping gluten, which creates tough, dense muffins instead of tender, fluffy ones.
- Toast Your Pecans First 🥜Lightly toast pecans for 5-7 minutes before chopping and adding to the streusel to intensify their buttery flavor and prevent a soggy texture.
- Strain Your Pumpkin Puree 🎃Press pumpkin puree through a fine-mesh strainer to remove excess moisture, ensuring muffins bake evenly and maintain their structure without becoming soggy.
- Bloom Your Spices 🤎Combine cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves with a splash of melted butter before adding to the batter to release their essential oils and deepen their warm, aromatic flavors.
- Fill Muffin Cups Strategically 🧁Fill cups two-thirds full, then top with streusel, then add remaining batter to the top so the pecan topping stays suspended and doesn't sink during baking.
