Reese Peanut Butter Cup Poke Cake
This Chocolate Peanut Butter Poke Cake is a true crowd pleaser. Moist chocolate cake becomes the base for luscious peanut butter that melts into every pocket and crevice. Then topped with Reese’s Cups and Pieces on top. Each bite is rich, creamy, and unapologetically fun. It’s the kind of dessert that makes people gather around the table a little faster and linger a little longer.

- Step 1
Prepare and cook boxed cake mix according to package directions.
- Step 2
Meanwhile, prepare chocolate pudding mix according to package directions. Stir 1/2 cup peanut butter into the pudding mix. Set aside.
- Step 3
Place remaining peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 20 seconds. Stir well.
- Step 4
Place chocolate frosting in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 20 seconds. Stir well.
- Step 5
Once cake is removed from oven, use the end of a wooden spoon or chopstick to poke holes all over the top of the cake – trying not to go through the whole thickness of the cake.
- Step 6
Drizzle the melted chocolate frosting and peanut butter all over the cake, then pour over the chocolate-peanut butter pudding.
- Step 7
Smooth the pudding into an even layer using an offset spatula or the back of a spoon.
- Step 8
Place cake in the fridge to cool slightly, then top with the Cool Whip, smoothing down in an even layer.
- Step 9
Garnish with any remaining melted peanut butter and frosting, along with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Reese’s Pieces.
- Step 10
Allow melted peanut butter and frosting to set before slicing and serving.
