Preheat oven to 425℉.
- Step 2
Grease a muffin tin or use paper liners and set aside.
- Step 3
Sift flour, measure, and sift again with spices, baking powder, and salt.
- Step 4
Combine egg, sugar, shortening, and milk.
- Step 5
Add dry ingredients. Beat only until the lumps are gone.
- Step 6
Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full.
- Step 7
Bake at 425℉ for 15-20 minutes.
