Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pat Dry for Maximum Crispiness 💧Remove excess moisture from cauliflower florets with paper towels before coating—this prevents steaming and ensures a truly crispy exterior in the air fryer or oven.
- Toast Sesame Seeds Separately 🔆Lightly toast sesame seeds in a dry pan for 2-3 minutes before garnishing to unlock their nutty flavor and prevent them from burning during cooking.
- Control Coconut Aminos Consistency ⚖️Simmer your teriyaki sauce for 3-5 minutes to thicken it slightly—this creates better coating adhesion and prevents soggy cauliflower from excess liquid.
- Double-Coat for Extra Crunch 🥢Dip florets in egg wash, coat with almond flour mixture, then repeat the process for a superior crispy crust that holds up better to the teriyaki glaze.
- Add Sauce at the Perfect Moment ⏱️Toss cauliflower with teriyaki sauce in the final 2-3 minutes of cooking rather than before—this prevents the coating from getting soggy while ensuring proper glaze adhesion.
