Tips & Tricks (5)
- Master the Roux Base 🧈Create a blonde roux by melting butter and cooking flour for 1-2 minutes before adding cream; this prevents lumps and creates a silkier sauce foundation for your cheese blend.
- Reserve Pasta Water Strategically 💧Save 1 cup of starchy pasta water before draining; add it gradually to achieve the perfect creamy consistency and help the cheese sauce coat every noodle beautifully.
- Add Cheese Off-Heat 🧀Remove the sauce from heat before stirring in shredded cheese to prevent it from becoming grainy; the residual heat melts the cheese smoothly while preserving its creamy texture.
- Layer Truffle Oil Timing 🍄Add half the truffle oil to the hot sauce for deep flavor integration, then drizzle the remaining oil over plated servings to preserve its delicate aromatic notes.
- Burrata Placement Matters ❄️Add burrata just before serving directly to the warm pasta so it softens slightly without fully melting; this preserves its creamy center while creating a luxurious, flowing texture throughout the dish.
