Viral Baked Feta Pasta
Instructions
1
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2
In a baking dish, add cherry tomatoes and minced garlic. Drizzle with 2 tbsp olive oil and mix to coat.
3
Place the block of feta in the center. Drizzle with remaining 1 tbsp olive oil and season everything with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, basil, and chili flakes.
4
Mix lightly to ensure everything is coated. Bake for 30–35 minutes until tomatoes burst and feta is golden brown.
5
While baking, cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
6
Remove the baking dish from the oven. Smash the tomatoes and feta together to form a sauce.
7
Add reserved pasta water and Parmesan cheese. Stir until well combined.
8
Toss in the cooked pasta and mix until coated.
9
Fold in fresh basil. Serve hot, topped with more Parmesan if desired.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Choose High-Quality Feta 🧀Use a creamy, full-fat feta block rather than crumbled feta—it will melt into a luxurious sauce instead of breaking apart during baking.
- Caramelize Tomatoes Properly 🍅Roast cherry tomatoes at 400°F for 20-25 minutes until they're bursting and their edges are golden—this concentrates their natural sugars and creates the signature sweet-savory depth.
- Reserve Pasta Water Strategically 💧Save at least 1 cup of starchy pasta water before draining, then use it to loosen the feta sauce to silky perfection and help it cling to the pasta.
- Layer Your Spices on the Feta 🌶️Apply garlic powder, paprika, red chili flakes, and black pepper directly to the feta block before baking so the flavors infuse into the cheese as it melts.
- Add Basil at the Perfect Moment 🌿Tear fresh basil and toss it with the pasta after plating rather than during baking—this preserves its vibrant color, aroma, and fresh flavor against the warm, roasted elements.
