Tips & Tricks (5)
- Room Temperature Chicken 🌡️Remove chicken from the refrigerator 15-20 minutes before cooking to ensure even cooking throughout and prevent dry exteriors with undercooked centers.
- Pound for Uniform Thickness 🔨Gently pound chicken breasts to an even ½-inch thickness so they cook uniformly and cook faster, preventing the edges from drying out while waiting for the center to finish.
- Emulsify Your Glaze 🥄Whisk the honey and mustard together with a touch of olive oil before coating to create a smooth, cohesive glaze that adheres better and caramelizes beautifully.
- Don't Skip the Sear 🔥Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side in a hot pan before adding the honey-mustard mixture to develop a golden crust that locks in juices and adds depth of flavor.
- Use an Instant-Read Thermometer 📊Check doneness at 165°F in the thickest part to guarantee perfectly cooked, safe chicken every time without guessing or overcooking.
