Tips & Tricks (5)
- Shell Selection Secrets 🐚Choose jumbo pasta shells that are thick and uniform in size to ensure even cooking and perfect filling capacity.
- Ricotta Moisture Magic 💧Drain ricotta cheese thoroughly using a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer to prevent watery filling and ensure a creamy, dense stuffing.
- Cheese Blend Perfection 🧀Mix cheeses at room temperature and fold gently to create a smooth, homogeneous filling that distributes evenly in the shells.
- Marinara Layer Technique 🥫Spread a thin, even layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the baking dish before adding stuffed shells to prevent sticking and add flavor depth.
- Baking Cover Trick 🔪Cover the dish with foil for the first 25 minutes of baking to prevent cheese from over-browning, then uncover for the last 10-15 minutes to achieve a golden, bubbly top.
