Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta
Instructions
1
|
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
2
|
In a large pan over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and dried parsley.
3
|
Add shrimp to the pan and cook a few minutes per side until opaque and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4
|
Deglaze the pan with white wine, scraping up any browned bits. Let simmer for 1 minute.
5
|
Whisk in Toom garlic dip and 1/2 cup of pasta water until smooth and creamy.
6
|
Re-season with the same shrimp spices and bring to a gentle simmer.
7
|
Add cooked pasta, Parmesan, and fresh parsley. Stir and thin sauce with additional pasta water if needed.
8
|
Return shrimp to the pan, combine well, and simmer for a few minutes to marry flavors.
9
|
Optional: Spread garlic dip inside a bread bowl and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes until crispy.
10
|
Serve pasta in the bread bowl or regular bowls. Garnish with more Parmesan and parsley.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pasta Water Magic 💧Always reserve 1 cup of starchy pasta water before draining, as it helps create a silkier, more emulsified sauce that perfectly coats the pasta.
- Shrimp Seasoning Secret 🦐Pat shrimp completely dry before seasoning to ensure maximum flavor absorption and achieve a beautiful golden sear without steaming.
- Wine Deglazing Technique 🍷When adding white wine, scrape the bottom of the pan to release all the delicious browned bits, which will significantly enhance the sauce's depth of flavor.
- Garlic Dip Layering Trick 🧄For the bread bowl, spread a thin layer of Toom garlic dip before toasting to create a crispy, flavor-packed base that complements the creamy pasta.
- Parmesan Melting Technique 🧀Remove the pan from direct heat when adding Parmesan cheese to prevent clumping, and stir gently to create a smooth, creamy sauce.
