1/5
Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta
Instructions
1
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
2
In a large pan over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and dried parsley.
3
Add shrimp to the pan and cook a few minutes per side until opaque and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4
Deglaze the pan with white wine, scraping up any browned bits. Let simmer for 1 minute.
5
Whisk in Toom garlic dip and 1/2 cup of pasta water until smooth and creamy.
6
Re-season with the same shrimp spices and bring to a gentle simmer.
7
Add cooked pasta, Parmesan, and fresh parsley. Stir and thin sauce with additional pasta water if needed.
8
Return shrimp to the pan, combine well, and simmer for a few minutes to marry flavors.
9
Optional: Spread garlic dip inside a bread bowl and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes until crispy.
10
Serve pasta in the bread bowl or regular bowls. Garnish with more Parmesan and parsley.

Tips & Tricks (5)
- Don't Overcook Your Shrimp 🍤Remove shrimp from heat the moment they turn pink and opaque (about 2-3 minutes per side); overcooking makes them rubbery and tough, ruining the dish's luxurious texture.
- Reserve Pasta Water Before Draining 💧Save at least 1 cup of starchy pasta water before draining—this is essential for achieving the silky, clinging sauce that coats each strand beautifully.
- Toast Your Bread Bowl Properly 🥖Brush the bread bowl generously with olive oil and toast at 375°F until golden and crispy, then immediately spread warm Toom garlic dip while the bowl is still hot for better absorption.
- Bloom Your Garlic Powder in Butter 🧈Toast the garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in butter for 30-60 seconds before adding wine and shrimp to intensify their flavors and eliminate any raw, powdery taste.
- Balance Your Creaminess with Wine Reduction ✨Let the white wine reduce by half before adding the Toom garlic dip to concentrate its acidity and prevent the sauce from becoming one-dimensional or overly rich.
