Tips & Tricks (5)
- Infuse Oil Before Spreading 🧄Gently warm your olive oil with minced garlic over low heat for 2-3 minutes before mixing with butter to release the garlic's aromatic compounds and create deeper flavor without burning.
- Use Room Temperature Butter 🧈Let your butter soften to room temperature before mixing with garlic and oil so it spreads evenly across the bread without tearing or creating bare spots.
- Slice Bread Strategically ✂️Cut your Italian bread lengthwise and then into individual portions before toasting, rather than after, to ensure even heat distribution and consistent browning on all surfaces.
- Toast at Lower Temperature Longer ⏱️Bake at 375°F for 8-10 minutes instead of high heat to allow the bread to toast through gently while the garlic-butter layer becomes golden and fragrant without burning the edges.
- Finish with Fresh Parsley & Fleur de Sel ✨Immediately after removing from the oven, top with finely chopped fresh parsley and a sprinkle of fleur de sel to add brightness, texture, and sophisticated finishing salt that elevates the simple dish.
