Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pat Dry for Better Browning 🎯Pat chicken thighs completely dry with paper towels before cooking to remove surface moisture, ensuring a golden, caramelized crust that locks in flavor.
- Don't Skip the Sear 🔥Sear the thighs skin-side down first in your nonstick pan for 4-5 minutes to render fat and develop a flavorful fond, which adds depth to your honey-mustard glaze.
- Balance Your Glaze Timing ⏱️Add the honey-mustard mixture in the last 5-7 minutes of cooking to prevent honey from burning while allowing it to caramelize and coat the meat perfectly.
- Use Room Temperature Chicken 🌡️Remove chicken thighs from the refrigerator 15-20 minutes before cooking for even heat distribution and more consistent, juicy results throughout.
- Whisk Your Glaze First 🥄Combine honey and mustard together before adding to the pan to create an emulsified, cohesive sauce that clings better to the chicken rather than pooling.
