    Preheat the oven to 400°F.

    Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Step 3

    Slice the bacon into 1/4-inch strips.

  4. Step 4

    Crush and finely mince the garlic.

  5. Step 5

    Trim the rough ends from the asparagus spears, and arrange on the baking sheet.

  6. Step 6

    Sprinkle the minced garlic and sliced bacon over the asparagus.

  7. Step 7

    Roast on middle rack of oven until asparagus is tender and bacon is crisp, 10-15 minutes.

  8. Step 8

    Check to see that asparagus is done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.

  9. Step 9

    Serve immediately.
