Halloween Fried Oreos

These Halloween Fried Oreos are a spooky-season twist on a nostalgic fairground favorite. Golden and crispy on the outside with a warm, melty Oreo center, each bite is pure indulgence. A simple pancake-like batter coats the cookies before they’re fried to perfection and topped with a dusting of powdered sugar. Easy to make and dangerously good—these are a must-have treat for any Halloween party or cozy night in.

Ingredients

Instructions

0 of 7 done
  1. Step 1

In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.

  2. Step 2

Add milk, egg, and oil (or melted butter) to the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth and lump-free.

  3. Step 3

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Test temperature with a drop of batter—it should sizzle and float.

  4. Step 4

Using a fork, dip each Oreo into the batter, coating evenly. Stab the fork through the center to help remove excess batter.

  5. Step 5

Carefully drop battered Oreos into the hot oil. Fry on both sides until golden brown.

  6. Step 6

Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

  7. Step 7

Dust generously with powdered sugar and serve warm.
