Tips & Tricks (5)
- Infuse Oil Before Spreading 🧈Warm your olive oil gently with minced garlic for 1-2 minutes before mixing with butter to maximize garlic flavor penetration and prevent raw garlic bitterness.
- Fresh Herbs at the End 🌿Add delicate fresh herbs like parsley and basil after baking, while the bread is still warm, to preserve their bright flavors and vibrant color.
- Dry Your Bread First 🍞Lightly toast the cut bread in the oven for 2-3 minutes before spreading the herb mixture to prevent sogginess and ensure a crispy exterior.
- Balance Butter and Oil Ratio 🫒Use a 60/40 ratio of butter to olive oil—this gives you rich flavor from butter while the oil prevents burning and adds fruity notes.
- Watch the Broiler Finish 👀Use the broiler for the final 30-45 seconds instead of just baking to achieve golden, crispy edges while keeping the interior soft and tender.
