Tips & Tricks (5)
- Freeze for Perfection 🧊Freeze the breaded mozzarella sticks for at least 2 hours before frying to prevent cheese from melting too quickly and ensure a crispy exterior.
- Double-Dredge Technique 🧀Use a precise three-step breading process: first flour (seasoned with garlic powder and black pepper), then egg wash, then seasoned breadcrumbs for maximum crunch and adhesion.
- Oil Temperature Mastery 🌡️Maintain oil temperature at exactly 350°F (175°C) for perfect golden-brown mozzarella sticks that are crispy outside and melty inside.
- Cheese Selection Secret 🧀Use low-moisture, block mozzarella and cut into uniform 1/2-inch thick sticks to ensure even cooking and prevent cheese from leaking during frying.
- Drain Like a Pro 🥄After frying, drain mozzarella sticks on a wire rack over paper towels to maintain crispiness and prevent soggy bottoms.
