Tips & Tricks (5)
- Cheese Melting Magic 🧀Grate your cheeses fresh and bring them to room temperature before making the sauce to ensure ultra-smooth, lump-free melting.
- Pasta Water Gold 💧Always reserve 1 cup of starchy pasta water before draining - it's the secret weapon for adjusting sauce consistency and helping cheese sauce cling perfectly to the pasta.
- Burrata Brilliance 🌟Add the burrata as the very last step and tear it gently over the hot mac & cheese to create luxurious, creamy pockets that melt slightly but retain their distinct texture.
- Spice Layer Strategy 🌶️Toast your red chili flakes in a dry pan for 30 seconds before adding to intensify their flavor and create a more complex heat profile in the dish.
- Cheese Blend Harmony 🧈Use a combination of melting cheeses (mozzarella, cheddar) and flavor-forward cheeses (pepper jack) to create a perfectly balanced, complex cheese sauce.
