Tips & Tricks (5)
- Pat Dry for Better Caramelization 🎯Remove excess moisture from chicken thighs with paper towels before seasoning to achieve a golden, caramelized exterior that locks in flavor.
- Bloom Your Spices First 🌶️Mix salt and cayenne into a paste and rub directly onto the chicken 15-20 minutes before baking to allow the spices to penetrate deeply for maximum flavor impact.
- Strategic BBQ Sauce Layering 🍯Add peach jam and barbecue sauce in two stages—half at the start and half in the final 10 minutes—to prevent burning while building complex, layered sweetness.
- Optimal Oven Placement 📍Position your baking sheet on the middle rack at 400°F to ensure even heat circulation and prevent the bottom from over-browning while the sauce caramelizes on top.
- Rest and Glaze Finish ✨Let cooked thighs rest 3-5 minutes, then brush with an extra thin layer of peach-BBQ glaze for a restaurant-quality glossy finish and enhanced flavor.
