Tips & Tricks (5)
- Dry Your Asparagus Thoroughly 💧Pat asparagus completely dry with paper towels before tossing in oil to ensure proper browning and prevent steaming, which creates a crispy exterior instead of a soggy one.
- Slice Garlic Thinly for Even Cooking 🧄Thinly slice garlic rather than mincing it so pieces cook evenly and distribute throughout the pan without burning, creating a more refined flavor and texture.
- Add Parmesan at the End ✨Sprinkle Parmesan cheese in the final 1-2 minutes of cooking so it melts slightly and adheres to the asparagus without browning excessively or becoming bitter.
- Arrange Asparagus in a Single Layer 📏Spread asparagus in one even layer with tips pointing the same direction to ensure uniform roasting and prevent crowding, which allows for proper caramelization.
- Use Quality Extra-Virgin Olive Oil 🫒Choose a robust extra-virgin olive oil with a lower smoke point (around 375°F) and add it after roasting slightly, preserving its fruity notes and nutritional benefits that make this dish premium.
