Tips & Tricks (5)
- Cornstarch Coating Magic 🥄Lightly dust chicken breasts with cornstarch before cooking to create a crispy exterior and help the glaze adhere perfectly.
- Marinade Shortcut 🕰️For maximum flavor, marinate the chicken in the honey-soy mixture for at least 30 minutes, or ideally 2-4 hours before cooking.
- Glaze Control 🥢Add the sweet and sour glaze in the last 2-3 minutes of cooking to prevent burning and create a glossy, caramelized finish.
- Even Chicken Thickness 🔪Use a meat mallet to pound chicken breasts to an even 1/2-inch thickness, ensuring uniform cooking and preventing dry edges.
- Flavor Layering Technique 🌶️Toast ground ginger and garlic powder in a dry pan for 30 seconds before adding to the marinade to intensify their aromatic qualities.
