Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Core the apples and dice into 1/2 inch cubes. Set aside.

Spray a 9-inch square baking dish liberally with nonstick cooking spray.

Place the oats, milk, egg, melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, spices, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.

Add the diced apples to the bowl and fold into the oat mixture.

Pour the oatmeal mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Bake the oatmeal on middle rack of oven until edges are golden and the center is firm, 45-50 minutes.

Check to see that oatmeal is done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.

Allow the oatmeal to cool for 5 minutes. Serve drizzled with maple syrup.
