Tips & Tricks (5)
- Bread Selection Magic 🍞Choose thick-cut, sturdy bread like brioche or Texas toast to create the perfect crispy vessel for your eggs, ensuring structural integrity during baking.
- Sheet Pan Positioning 🥘Place your sheet pan in the center rack of the oven to guarantee even heat distribution and consistent cooking of all egg-in-a-holes.
- Butter Brushing Technique 🧈Generously brush both sides of the bread with melted butter before cutting the hole to enhance golden crispiness and prevent sticking.
- Egg Yolk Control 🥚For perfectly runny yolks, remove the sheet pan from the oven when egg whites are just set but centers still appear slightly jiggly.
- Custom Seasoning Hack 🧂Sprinkle a pinch of smoked paprika or herbs like thyme into the egg hole before baking to elevate the flavor profile of your dish.
